I love imagining the stories that come with second-hand treasures. The “good plates” that were only used a few times a year for birthdays and Christmas, and then lovingly washed and put back in the cupboard.

I am filled with excitement when I find beautiful pieces of furniture that only need a little TLC to be brought back to their former glory. 

(Although I often allow scratches with stories to stay.)

Ever since I was small, you would find me painting, sewing or fixing something.  

So, with a growing love for theatre, I went on to work as a props coordinator, maker, and buyer for professional musicals across Australia for over 20 years. The theatre was always more than just a job and fostered a love of theming and creative design that continues to this day. 

After creating some of my best work (my beautiful children), I started focusing my energy closer to home, helping to coordinate and create five weddings for friends and family.

I thrived in the creative wedding themes my extraordinary family provided, with designs ranging from “rainbow” to “steampunk”.

 All the while, growing increasingly determined to reduce the environmental impact that events can have. 

It was then that I knew what the next chapter of my life was going to be.

And so began the journey of Green Gala Events.
